I follow all the proper steps throughout my job search, and inevitably I hit a snag that I don’t expect. Getting a job is portrayed as this system everybody follows — employers, job hunters, personnel people, recruiters. But the truth is, even if I do what I’m supposed to do, it just blows up in my face.
I do my part, but employers drop the ball. It seems the salary range fits me, but then I find out it doesn’t. You should update your post to let people know that they can purchase all of the books at a discounted price. Include a link to the complete collection purchase option. Also, let your Twitter followers know about your new books.
Nick, I think your sample of a couple of pages is fine by me.
I hate sales and discount offers so frankly in my opinion you don’t have to offer any discounts. As far as I know you aren’t working for charity.
It’s not about charity, it’s about marketing and enticing people to BUY. Nick is already offering the discount, but I fear he will miss sales opportunities because people will not scroll all the way to the bottom to notice it.

You might consider taking it one step further, and develop an instructional package and syllabus, based on the books.
Who’d want something like this?
* Outplacement firms
* Career counselors
* Job Hunting networks
* Military (to prepare for transition to civilian life and job hunting
* And finally schools, community colleges and universities. There’s a sorry lack of teaching this stuff. It would be one of the best uses of educational time I can think of.
Another idea to consider is job hunting is like a coin. You hit the job searchers side like a laser beam.
Flip to the other side and provide a similar perspective for employers. What should they build into their processes, practices, etc.
Companies don’t have to be jack asses about hiring. It’s just as easy to do it well with consideration for the job seeker as to do it poorly.
I confess in writing this I didn’t research college courses for “How To Recruit” training. If it’s not, it should be there. not just a piece of a course..but a course
