55. Don't look for a job.
One of the most dramatic mistakes people make is to pursue a good job instead of a good company. Good jobs end, but good companies create more good jobs for good employees.

When it's time for a change, seek a company whose top-notch products and services are in line with your interests. Seek a company that employs the best people. Seek a company that is sound financially. Seek a company whose reputation is stellar -- then explore jobs within it. One such company is worth ten good jobs in any other companies.

When it's time to make a change, don't mistake a good job for a good future. Don't look for a job. Look for a good company.
