I just completed an interview this morning with a very large,
very respected, and very established leader in the computer industry. In that interview, I finally had an opportunity to
apply the knowledge I've steadily gained from Ask The Headhunter.
I'd like to thank you for all your valuable insight. Using your
knowledge, I was able to think of several key questions and requests of the interviewer that helped me negotiate a fair
salary, and that led to a position proposal by the end of the interview.
Had I not read your columns, I would have probably taken his
verbal proposal, left my current position and went to work for him. But as a due diligence move, I requested the proposal in writing so as to not accidentally find myself in a
precarious position later on.
Although I'm still undecided as to weather or not to accept the
position, I feel as though your insight has helped me handle myself professionally and wisely in the whole process and hope
it yields a positive result within the near future.
Thank you for all that you do.
