Liberal arts students need Ask The Headhunter.
Date: August 10, 2000

As an English professor who teaches primarily business and technical writing, I appreciate how well you summarize (1) the value of liberal arts education and (2) the need for its majors to define themselves if they're to succeed outside academics. [Please see Making the liberal arts degree pay off.]

I've been telling my students this for some time now, but the message always carries more weight when uttered by someone who has actually built a career on the skills learned as a liberal arts student.

I'll be pointing my liberal arts students to your article.
