I am barely 18 years old and I have fast tracked through school.
I live in Toronto where there is a grade 13 and most people my age would still be in school. I am only remotely interested
in spending another 4 years in a classroom building with debt in the form of an educational loan.
Needless to say it is less than easy to get a first job somewhere
other than McD's (here anyway). I have been reading Ask The Headhunter for some time now. I have put your advice together
and I am now working in a somewhat senior role with one of Canada's largest cable providers (specifically the Internet on
cable department). Thanks to you, I am already making thousands more per year than the "average Canadian" and I
enjoy what I do immensely.
I can't thank you enough for your advice. The odds of someone my
age landing a job like this are literally infinitesimal.
