Dutch interview success |
Date: 11/11/98 Dear Mr. Corcodilos,
I bought your book at the
American Bookstore in Amsterdam. I had an interview for the job of journalist at a
national radio station here in Netherlands. I found your insights enlightening and used
them in my interview. I'm very, very happy to tell you that I got the job (for which
hundreds applied). I still can't believe it!!!
A big thank you.
Kind regards,
Simone Weimans

A changed search consultant |
Date: 11/9/98 Dear Mr. Corcodilos,
I must say that after reading just a few chapters of Ask the Headhunter, you have breathed new life into my search
career. How I first became aware of your book was in the Sunday N.Y. Times
Business Section in a column called "Working". After reading that, I immediately
called Plume in N.Y. and ordered the book. As a result, my outlook as a search consultant
has never been been better.

Using work skills to win the job |
Date: 11/4/98 As I read through the articles on your website, it dawned on me
that the process for job-hunting is similar to that of submitting a proposal to a
prospective client!
The company where I've worked for the past 17 years
is "downsizing." I expect to be one of those on the list.... After poring over
your fascinating website, when I do begin my job hunt, I plan to use the same skills I do
when preparing a quote (I have recently started my own business). This makes perfect sense
to me.
I am also sharing your site with others in the
company who will be facing the same challenges.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this
information on-line! It is much appreciated.
