I am an information services exec in the insurance indusry. I wanted to give you an update on how effective your networking and Do The Job techniques have been for me.

I used the Do The Job approach in an interview I had yesterday and the audience (president and his three top execs) responded very well.

I acted as if I had already been hired and told them how I would implement changes to address the three top issues they had raised with me during the one-on-one meetings I had with each of them earlier in the day.

As I left, the president said that whether I joined their company or not, my approach during the interview had raised the bar for what they would accept in a successful candidate.
